Facility Update

June 26, 2020

The Lodge has created a new admission unit to reopen our admissions. Every new admission is placed on a 14 day isolation upon arrival in which our staff member will wear gloves, gown, face shield, and mask while providing care. Each new admission is also required a negative Covid Test prior to admitting. The Lodge has assigned certain employees to this unit to contain cross-contamination.

To ensure the safety of all our patients and residents, The Lodge continues to mandate face mask for all employees while in facility and have their temperature read and questionnaire completed at start of shift.

In May  facility wide testing was completed for all employees, patients, and resident with no residents or patient testing positive and 1 employee testing positive. That employee was non direct care employee and isolated immediately. No one else exhibited signs or symptoms.

Daily monitoring continues for all patient and residents.

On June 30th, 2020 outdoor visitations will be available by appointment only. Please see visitation tab for more information.

We want to thank everyone for their support and corporation during these challenges times

Effective March 12, 2020

To All Family Members, Responsible Parties, and Lodge Patient or Resident Friends,

At this time, we do not have any cases in our facility. We have contacted you early this week and we know many of you are concerned about the spread of COVID-19 (cornoavirus) and how it may impact us here at The Lodge. Ensuring all residents and patients are provided care in a safe and healthy environment is our first priority. Again at this time, we do not have any cases in our facility.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have recommended a variety of steps that we are implementing to help reduce the potential for the virus to enter our building. However, we need your help in battling COVID-19. Below are some examples of how you can help protect the residents, as well as prevent spread throughout the community.

1. At this time, we are requesting that family and friends DO NOT visit the facility.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are limiting all visitors to our facility unless absolutely necessary. We ask you not to make rountine visits at this time. We are posting signs on our entryway doors to notify visitors of this policy and actively screen individuals, including our staff, who need to come into the building.

2. We are asking all families to allow the facility to do laundry at this time

If you believe it is absolutely necessary to continue to do the laundry, please notify the facility prior to coming and a staff member will happily collect the items at the door and deliver the items to the patient or resident.

3. Use Alternative Communication Tools to connect with Patient and Residents

We understand that connecting with your loved ones is incredibly important, and there are a variety of other ways you might consider communicating with them. These may include telephone, email, text, video chat, and social media. We will have updates on our Facebook Page for your convenience. If you need assistance or more information on alternative ways please reach out to us so we can help!

If you believe a visit to the center is necessary, we request that you contact our facility prior to your arrival.
